This temporary piece is a series of three that were made of natural materials collected from the Boise, Idaho area. It hung from a tree for about 6 weeks at Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise as part of their annual Land Art Exhibit for temporary public art, in the spring of 2019. The piece came home after the exhibit and survived outdoors quite well through the summer, and was finally dismantled before winter. The wool may be recycled into another art piece someday, or maybe a sweater.
Felted wool & hand-spun wool yarn, grapevine, willow and dogwood sticks, natural dyes and lanolin
